Art and Healing in Bridlington

There are 3 Degrees or levels of Reiki often called Reiki 1, Reiki 2, Reiki 3.
The first degree includes an introduction to Reiki, its background and history.  Other aspects covered are Legal and ethical considerations. You are shown the hand positions for a full body treatment of yourself and others -  you will be given opportunities to practice this. Also covered will be how to use Reiki on plants and the environment.  The actual attunement  for your 1st Degree is comprised of 4 distinctly separate parts.  The attunement will open you up as a channel for the Reiki energy. The focus  and level of responsibility at Level 1 is very much on self and self-healing as it is so important for us to be as well as possible when we begin to work with others.  By wellness I mean physically, emotionally and  spiritually.  Many students are happy to remain at this level of development, but a substantial number will wish to progress to the next level after a period of adjustment and practice.  There is no set timescale between progressions and you will know when you are ready to take a further step in your development.

The second degree introduces you to  distant healing  and you are given the symbol which facilitates this. In addition you are given 2 further symbols to uses as a focus to strengthen your Reiki channeling. Your levels of responsibility are stepped up too now as you prepare to work with others. At this level you will be able to get Insurance which is essential for practicing with others. You will also receive another  attunement.

The third degree is the Master level and with this comes even greater responsibility. From this point your responsibility extends to prospective new healers - the students who will come to you  for tuition and guidance. These students  will also need to fully understand their own responsibilities too.  Personally, I don't see any reason to pursue this Level unless you are seriously considering teaching.  If all you are seeking is to be a stronger channel then you simply need to practice, practice and practice some more. There is one aspect to this attunement and afterwards you are given a further 2 symbols.  You will also be shown how to undertake the attunement process.
