Well, I have now found the premises which will be perfect for Reiki Gallery in Bridlington. I had initially dismissed this property - don't ask me why. Perhaps it was lurking in the background ready to grab my attention. On my initial visit I had in my mind a list of work I imagined it would need, such as rewiring, new boilers, re-plastering etc. To say I was surprised is an understatement because it needs none of these. However, it does need a new roof
. Technically, it could be patched up but experience of what this roof has cost me over the last 19 years leads me to think a brand new roof would be the better choice.
This week, Mark my son who is a builder came along with me to check it out with his expereinced eye. He had pre- warned me that it would cost me Fish and Chips on the harbour. It was lovely spending time with him . We see each other a few times a week but it is always a hurried pop in. The Estate Agent is a great guy and he was happy for us to spend as much time as we needed and not once did he show any sign of wanting us to hurry - so many I met before have done. We were sitting in a cafe having our Fish and Chips and he turned to me and said "Mam I can't wait to get home and see my mates". When I asked why he replied "Well I have to tell them me Mam took me to the seaside and bought me Fish and Chips". More what a 9 yeard old would say , rather than a 6 foot 33 year old!
I'm now busy fine tuning the Business Plan and Financial Forecast and of course waiting for this house to sell . I had a go at taking a photo for the brochures - I know the estate Agent does them but wanted to see how it would look. This is a shot of the lounge
It will look better with the Laptop out of the way and the TV turned off don't you think?
That's all I have for now but if you want to hear more of my ramblings head over to my Kiamyka blog which covers a wider range of rambles
